Panels
PolyTrak roll-up door panels are made from 100% recycled materials. The smooth look on the outside is perfect for applying vinyl lettering or graphics but the real beauty is hidden. Inside each individual door panel is two galvanized steel reinforcement channels. These steel channels make the panel stronger, straighter and eliminates the “sag” that occurs when a door is left in the open position. The formed grooves on the inside make each panel lighter and easier to handle. These high-impact door panels can take a beating, too. Rain, sun, wind, ice, heat and freezing cold won’t affect the material or appearance. Moisture is repelled and a special UV-additive keeps PolyTrak panels white and bright.
Interchangeability
Individual components are completely interchangeable with universal hardware and wood panels. PolyTrak doors are built to last a long time but if a panel does become damaged accidently, it’s easy to substitute it with a wood panel when in a pinch.
And – because PolyTrak doors are lighter than standard wood doors – rollers, hinges, seals and cables are less likely to become worn or damaged but, if needed, any hardware component can be replaced any time with industry standard hardware.
Hardware
Although universal industry standard W-style hardware is used on this door, the way it is used is noteworthy.
A key feature of this roll-up door is the rivets. Although simple in definition, rivets can cause rust streaks, become loose and cause shaking or pull out altogether. But not anymore. The aluminum blind rivets on this door are on the inside and don’t go all the way through. They’re specially designed to grab onto the panel and won’t pull out or loosen over time. Because they are not visible on the outside, lettering and graphics are easier to apply and the outside stays cleaner...no more rust streaks.
Another feature is the placement of the cables. Unlike some plastic doors, we keep our cables visible for maintenance and adjustment.
Cost
Of all the desirable features of the PolyTrak roll-up door, cost savings may just be the most important one. It’s a known fact that wood doors rot, warp and break and replacement costs add up. A polymer door will always outlive a wood door and that saves money. Plus, with fuel prices unstable, lighter equipment means better mileage and the PolyTrak roll-up door is 40% lighter than a standard wood door. Having a lightweight roll-up door will save fuel but the savings don’t stop there. All hardware is universal...when it’s time to replace a part, it isn’t a special order – it can be found in the parts department of your favorite distributor or dealer.

"We installed a new PolyTrak door in August of 2008. To date (May, 2009) we have not had any door repairs. We are very pleased with this door and have had different drivers operate the door. Their positive comments included how light the door is and the ease of opening and closing. I do recommend purchasing the PolyTrak door."
