The V-Flap is an innovative Aerodynamic Mud Flap that stops water and spray but smartly allows trapped hot air to pass through its’ vertical perforations, providing multiple benefits over traditional poly or rubber flaps.

Increases Fuel Economy

Solid mud flaps create wind resistance. The aerodynamic V-Flap was designed with 528 vertical slots which allow air to freely pass through, reducing drag and improving fuel economy. In fact, reports published by University of Chattanooga and Kenworth® Truck Company suggest that solid mudflaps create wind resistance that reduces around .05% to 1% of fuel efficiency, costing over $400.00 per truck per year. A V-Flap™ mudflap provides aerodynamic efficiency to minimize the wind resistance that can save your company over four hundred dollars per truck per year.

Suppresses Splash and Spray

V-Flap™ mudflaps utilize hydrodynamics and aerodynamics to suppress splash and spray by separating water and air before they turn into mist to provide clearer vision to operators of nearby vehices during rainy days. Greater visibility to a driver can reduce road fatalities, improves your company’s safety records and reduces insurance cost.

To increase safety; first, 48 vertical channels on the V-Flap™ direct water and road debris to the ground and allows air to smoothly pass through its vertical slots. Second, the V-Flaps™ aerodynamic design and vertical vanes control sailing of the mudflap, restrict road debris from flying under and force it to perform in its' designed manner.

Reduces Costly Repairs

With solid mudflaps, the hot air produced by the frictional contact between the rotating tire and stationary road is accumulated. The V-Flaps™ aerodynamic design removes the hot air from the region to allow brakes and tires to run cooler, increasing their life and reducing costly repairs.

Durability

The V-Flap has strong mounting holes which helps it from becoming dislodged due to backup related mishaps. Additionally, the V-Flap's specially formulated HDPE material withstands subfreezing temperatures and will not chip, crack or break - reducing flap replacement costs.

Compliance

The V-Flap aligns with the US Government initiatives for green house gas reductions and exceeds spray suppression mandates.

Heavy Duty:

Available in 3/8" thickness. The V-Flap mudflap is manufactured to last longer than any other flap.

Ice and Snow build-up:

Minor agitation from the rotating tires automatically dislodges ice/snow build up.

Guaranteed:

V-Flap mudflaps are guaranteed not to chip, crack or break in extreme weather conditions for one year with a recommended service temperature of -40 F to
+120 F.

Flexible Blend:
U.V. stabilized polyethylene resin to produce a more flexible and chemical resistant mudflap.

Anti Sail / Anti Spray:

Forty nine (49) reinforcing vertical vanes and 528 air outlets assure no curling or sailing and keep the V-Flap mudflap in place to reduce road spray and aerodynamic drag.

Strong Mounting:

Installs easily to existing brackets-does not require additional equipment.
